A work detail to clean out the storage building at the canal at Walnutport has been scheduled for Saturday, February 4 from 9:00 - Noon. Persons willing to help should meet at the pavilion.
For local residents, a beautiful day often includes a walk along the canal's towpath, fishing from the banks,
or a serene moment of gazing into the waters of the canal while resting on the bank side benches.
In an effort to preserve the history and beauty of the canal in the 4½ miles it passes through the Borough of
Walnutport, the Walnutport Canal Association was formed for this mission.
